How you help at the bookshop
As well as working on the till, I try and help customers with sometimes very specific requests- we even mange to match them and their books up sometimes! Having a chat with people if they want it. Sometimes the shop becomes a Glossop information centre. I love rummaging through the donation bags and pricing books up. I also like making new displays and shifting books around whilst forgetting to tell the other staff where things have moved to!! Mondays in the bookshop are my absolute favourite day of the week.
Favourite Author (and why!)
Ooh tricky - it’s genre dependent. Anything from E.M. Forster , for his classic wit and characters that are always trying to fit in.
Favourite Book (and why!)
As it’s the Christmas season - it’s Dickens Christmas Carol. I read it every Christmas, I more or less know it verbatim now!

Laurence Shames - Virgin Heat. It’s a crime book but with humour and the Mob, revenge story based in key west, Florida. Funny and a great author.
