Introducing Matt Hill our new Volunteer Development Manager

We'd like to introduce Matt Hill, a local freelance artist and creative practitioner who we've brought on board to develop and manage our volunteering capacity. 

Matt is a freelance community artist who works for museums and arts organisations, he is also a singer songwriter. He has a background in the voluntary sector, having worked for Carers UK where he managed volunteers in his role as Communications and Campaigns Manager. More locally he worked at the Volunteer Centre in Tameside. He’s also been a member and supporter of the bookshop since its inception.

He has a background in the voluntary sector, having worked for Carers UK and the voluntary sector infrastructure organisation in Tameside. 

The bookshop is powered by volunteers, both in the shop and with a variety of organisational roles. Matt's role is to support the volunteering infrastructure we have now and to develop more opportunities for volunteering in the future. 

This will include regular volunteering meet ups for existing and prospective volunteers. Watch this space for more opportunities to get involved.
